2022 PREMIUM OLDENBURG FILLY BY SARKOZY

Mare by Sarkozy (Sandro Hit/Weltmeyer), out of Malibu.

This young mare is a lovely dressage or hunter prospect with a wonderful character. She received a premium award at her German Oldenburg inspection with great remarks, especially on her presence! She has a confident, outgoing personality. Correct in her conformation and nice, easy gaits for an amateur to enjoy. She has a super walk and especially good canter. She has a striking resemblance to her sire, but with a copper red coat and flaxen mane. She loves to practice her lead changes around the field and is very playful.

Her sire, Sarkozy, narrowly missed out on a medal at the Bundeschampionat final for five year old dressage horses with a 9.0 for overall impression and 9.5 for his graceful, ground-covering walk. He was also one of the top ten at the World Championship final in Verden, where he was placed fifth. In 2009, Sarkozy was the resplendent Hanover Riding Horse Champion and celebrated Vice Bundeschampion. At the Bundeschampionat he was awarded 9.9 for all his basic paces and 9.5 for conformation. He also completed his 30 day test with an impressive dressage-oriented final score of 9.01. It would be no exaggeration to say that Sarkozy's walk is one of the most outstanding of all current German dressage stallions.

Her dam, Malibu, has spent most of her life as a children's hunter and “worth her weight in gold” lesson horse. She has a phenomenal temperament that she passes to her foals.

She is nicely started under saddle and her price will increase with training. She has a very soft mouth, is a very cute mover, and is light and soft to ride. She is a very quiet type that will has been very easy to bring along. She moves well off the leg without being sensitive. Her lead changes are coming along quickly. She did her first jump chute session and demonstrated exceptional hunter technique over fences. She has also been out to her first two horse shows, confidently cruising around a course of crossrails at her first outing and verticals at her second. Both times she went from the trailer to the warmup, under 10 minutes of warmup and into the show ring. We are thrilled with how calm and confident she has been in new places. She has also had young riders lessoning on her in our lesson program, she is that quiet and easy.
