2022 Bay Hanoverian Mare
By Dubarry (Don Fredrico / Rubinstein) | Out of Raptura (Rapture R / Arrian)
Registered & Branded Hanoverian
Daleyza ESH is everything you hope for when you breed a warmblood mare.
She is large, correct, strikingly well-developed, and absolutely full of scope. We call her Moose, affectionately and accurately, because she has the presence and bone structure of a horse that will fill a ring and command attention. On the ground, she is a sweetheart, friendly, easy to handle, and genuinely a joy to have in the barn. She is the kind of mare that makes you smile every time you walk past her stall.
Under saddle is where her talent really shows itself. Daleyza is responsive and athletic in a way that is exciting to ride, and that responsiveness is exactly what will make her exceptional in the right hands. She simply needs more miles, more life experience, and a rider with the feel and foundation to develop what she has. She is not a difficult horse, she is a talented one.
Under Saddle: Daleyza has been thoughtfully developed and carries a solid foundation of correct, quality training. She is confidently working at walk, trot, and canter, is very adjustable through the aids, and offers natural flying lead changes. She has been out to jumper shows, where she has shown exactly what she is: brave, scopey, and utterly unfazed by the atmosphere. She loads, warms up quietly, and enters the ring ready to work. Her jump is powerful and athletic with scope to spare. She will need a thoughtful rider to continue bringing her along, not because she is complicated, but because her sensitivity and talent deserve a confident, educated hand to match.
Health & Soundness: Daleyza was bred and raised here at Eclipse Sporthorses and has been healthy and sound from birth. One thing to know: she is a cribber, completely and easily managed with a simple cribbing collar. For a buyer who understands horses, this is a non-issue — everything else about her is exceptional. She has no other vices and is current on all veterinary and farrier care.
On her sire: Dubarry (Don Fredrico x Rubinstein) carries two of the most celebrated names in modern warmblood breeding. His sire, Don Fredrico, is a son of the legendary Donnerhall, one of the most influential dressage sires of all time, bringing collection, expression, and that unmistakable uphill quality. His dam sire, Rubinstein, adds refinement, elasticity, and the kind of inner rideability that makes talented horses genuinely trainable. Dubarry consistently produces horses with correct, powerful movement, excellent bone, and strong, scopey jumping ability.
On her dam: Raptura ESH (Rapture R x Arrian) is a young mare who has already proven herself an outstanding producer in our program, Daleyza is among her best. Rapture R brings an exceptional temperament, while Arrian adds substance and a proven record of producing athletes across disciplines. Daleyza’s full sibling Donato ESH sold quickly as a foal and we are expecting another full sibling in 2027, which tells you everything about what this cross produces.
Ideal for: An experienced amateur or professional ready to develop a genuinely gifted hunter/jumper prospect. Daleyza has the scope, the bravery, and the work ethic to go as far as her rider dreams — she just needs the right partner to take her there.
She is already approved into the Hanoverian mare book if you want to breed her in the future. Her excellent scores made her Premium Mare Eligible.
