Fly Away On My Zephyr, aka “Zephyr” is an impressive 2 year old solid dark bay/black Oldenburg x Friesian colt. I really can’t say enough good things about him. He was born & raised on our farm and is by the accomplished FHANA dressage stallion, Mick, and out of the MMB German Oldenburg Verband mare, Boston Dancer. I truly think Zephyr got the best of both. He is beautifully put together, very correct, and a lovely, huge mover - he’s hard to fault. While he was not inspected himself, he received many compliments at the German Oldenburg inspection at only 10 days old. He is now a coming 2 year old nicely proportioned and a big handsome boy for his age. He is double registered already and also eligible AWS and AWR.
Zephyr was imprinted at birth and has been consistently handled ever since. He does well in the stall or out 24/7 and gets along great with other horses. He is great for the vet & farrier and has been on a regular vaccination, deworming, and farrier schedule. He bathes, clips, ties, and cross ties like a seasoned pro. He loads & hauls quietly and has been off the property several times. He has been shown locally in-hand and is always in the ribbons (several 1st). Zephyr is lightly started under saddle and going great. He is a quick learner and very brave, with a stellar personality. You don’t see many horses of his age this quiet & personable.
Zephyr is for sale, but I will gladly keep him around a couple more years to bring along myself. He is for sale only to an excellent, loving home. Zephyr is currently in North Carolina, but will return to our farm Fall 2010.
