Manager - Regina Esterman M.S.
After earning an A.S. degree in Horse Science from The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in 2000, and a B.S. degree in Equine Science from Colorado State University, Regina came to Gainesville, Florida to pursue graduate work in Animal Sciences at the University of Florida. She completed an M.S. degree in Reproductive Physiology in 2006 and is continuing studies toward a Ph.D. in the Animal Molecular and Cellular Biology Program.
Regina began showing horses in 4-H and Pony Club in Ohio, taking entries to the Ohio State Fair twice. At Colorado State she was a member of the polo team and interned at Royal Vista Equine reproductive center. Upon coming to Florida, Regina embarked on her first farm venture, operating Shady Grove Farm, a small boarding and training facility. Eclipse Sporthorses LLC was created to encompass the existing boarding and training services, offer greater leasing opportunities, and better promote the expanding sporthorse breeding program. |

Trainer/Instructor - Jenni Davids
For over 10 years, Jenni trained in Illinois under the guidance of Kathy Kolwalski, a well respected Hunter/Jumper trainer who focused on proper equitation and schooling of the horse. During this time, Jenni participated in a variety of clinics, including perennial favorite ANRC Judge Jimmy Cantwell. She was a sponsored rider on the NIJHA circuit and competed successfully in a variety of junior and open hunter as well as equitation and medals classes. Her training includes a foundation in basic dressage schooling, which she believes is the cornerstone of good communication between any horse and rider, whether in the show ring or on the trails.

Jenni began training students in hunter equitation in Vermont in 2004, and resumed after moving to Gainesville in 2006 to work on her PhD in Immunology/Genetics. Her lessons focus on safety and understanding between horse and rider, and she encourages her students to understand the fundamentals of what each exercise teaches horse and rider. Beginner riders start out on the ground with lessons about safety, horse care and horsemanship as well as mounted lessons on a longe line on trusted lesson horses. Advanced riders are encouraged to ride quietly and with finesse through advanced exercises on the flat and over fences on our more challenging horses. Jenni works hard to make each lesson interesting, appropriate and relevant for each horse and rider combination and class sizes are rarely larger than 2 people. |
